李国强教授于2015年12月8日-12日赴澳大利亚，参加了在澳大利亚布里斯班召开的 Second International Conference on Performance-based and Life-cycle Structural Engineering(PLSE2015) 国际学术会议。李国强教授应邀作大会特邀报告，报告题目为“Enhancing  performance of buildings in seismic zone with structural metal dampers”。同时，李国强教授应邀担任本次会议的国际学术委员会委员。来自世界各地的220位专家、学者参加了本次研讨会。
